It is nice and soft and supple but is still very strong and holding tight! They have a great feel to them and that antique leather smell we all know and love! All of the sharp steel spikes are present and firmly attached. The thick hard leather bottom soles are also in great shape showing the usual wear. There are no visible makers markings but we know that they are SPOT O BILT by the white dot on the back of each of them. The cloth laces appear to be old but we do not believe that they are the originals. They are the same ones that were on them we acquired them. | Up for bids is a very cool pair of very early and very very super sharp spikes and were manufactured by A. G. Spalding& Bros. These Vintage antique 1900's All black leather adult size 8 2F stamped into the leather tongue of each super narrow and super clean vintage antique sharp 6 spike track and field spikes! The leather on these spikes is in great shape! It is nice and soft and supple but is still very strong and holding tight! They have a great feel to them and display beautifully(hard to believe they could run I these old bad boys let alone strap them on their feet- very cool) All of the very sharp steel spikes are present and firmly attached. The thick hard leather bottom soles are also in great shape showing and condition- super overall for being close to 100 years old- check out the vintage white cloth A G Spalding logo on ... more the interior leather shoe tongues(see photo) The visible makers markings are tightly stitched and fully intact and are adult size as noted.
